self-control
it's been a much better day at work than yesterday, i have to admit. i also realised that i had magic wrapping hands today too. haha, i managed to wrap items up decently. i dont know if on wednesday i'll be able to do that too. but i certainly hope that i won't be late again. sigh..my body aches at every part of my weakened body, especially my spinal area. my throat is so sore and hoarse, uclers plague my tongue and gums...how i wished i could take a week of leave. hahaha, probably in my dreams.
and did i mention that i was in full control of my counter today? haha, it was quite stressful whenever the customers make last minute decisions on their mode of payment. rather irritating whenever i have to do a reversal and get the supervisor to attend to the situation. speaking of that, today there was a couple which were supposingly in their mid-30s came and asked for an exchange of items, i didnt catch their reason as they were at the other counter. but being a busybody i overheard them saying that their maid or someone similar took off the price tags. their items were 12 beer glasses, and they are obviously used as the glasses look blurry. but being typical singaporeans, they insisted that they washed it and never used it. with no choice, the staffs-in-charge had to abide to their request and unwillingly gave them their wish. only to release their anger at the couple after they left. hahaha, and my dept's supervisor was complaining about being called everywhere to do reversals and disturbing her job of stock-taking and schedule making.
i also had several foreigners paying at my counter today, it was fun knowing where they come from. i remembered a korean woman and a super tall european couple chatting in some language, i just couldnt figure out at that point of time. and there was some foreign guy who bought large and i mean really large porcelain plates which where in weirdo shapes weighing at least 3.5kg each piece. he actually carried all 4 of them away after paying. well, tomorrow's my off day. so glad i can take a rest from work..but on wednesday it's home essentials again, back to wrapping items......
